My name is Prince Muteteke, and it is with great honor and privilege to serve as president of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, Nu Mu Chapter! We are seated at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, and are committed to continuing our long legacy of excellence by promoting manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind. Chartered on April 2, 1977, Nu Mu has upheld the name of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., leading with purpose for 49 years.

On Georgia Tech’s campus, we are constantly striving to make a positive impact on the surrounding community. We host events such as Scholarship Sunday, in which we partner with the Georgia Tech Society of Black Engineers to give students a platform to study and enhance their academic performance while having the opportunity to win a scholarship to support their studies. In respecting womanhood to the best of our ability, we conduct an annual Miss Old Gold & Black scholarship pageant. Throughout the pageant, young collegiate women have the opportunity to showcase their talents and beauty while promoting a cause they choose to advocate for. In addition, pageant winners can earn up to $1,000 in scholarship money. These are just a couple of examples to highlight the great work we do, but there is so much more, so be sure to stay tuned for all that we are doing.

Our leadership is evident, as we have brothers who serve as Georgia Tech Student Ambassadors, SGA representatives, Georgia Tech Campus Tour Guides, and Denning Technology & Management scholars, just to name a few. We are truly dedicated to the impact we have on those around us.

We understand that, right now, it is more important than ever to uphold our duty to strengthen the community around us while being the positive change agents the world most desperately needs. It is important for us to be the voice for our communities and do the work that is pivotal to progress in society. This is why I encourage this chapter to be INTENTIONAL in all that we do and why Alpha Phi Alpha develops leaders while providing service and advocacy for our communities!
